Description

Inspired by:
"Against my will I stand beside my own reflection
It`s haunting how I can't seem...
To find myself again
My walls are closing in
(Without a sense of confidence,
I'm convinced that there's just
too much pressure to take)
I've felt this way before
So insecure
Crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
Fear is how I fall
Confusing what is real"
Linkin Park, Crawling lyrics

These lyrics sparked my inspiration for this piece but I feel like I took it further to make it my own. I really wanted to convey the emotion of being forced to face the parts of yourself that you hide from the world and even yourself.

I am really looking forward to hearing what you think of it, both in terms of concept and technique ^_^
Please, be brutally honest.

What does this image convey to you?
Does the lighting seem realistic?
How else can this piece be improved?

**EDIT** After fellow deviants pointed out the error I adjusted the lighting on the 'mirror' to match that of the background and the model and I softened the edges of the foreground model and I added a shadow to the mirror

**EDIT** I decided to revisit this piece and made some alterations in the cracks, adding some more tonal variation.

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped me with this piece ^_^
